What is a Section?
Sections allow you to group products into reusable, editable blocks that can be added to one or more catalogs. The Collection Section type creates a section from one or more of your Shopify collections.
All active products assigned to the selected collections are included.
If a product belongs to multiple chosen collections, it only appears once in the section.
Steps to Create a Section Type: Collection
Open Sections
From the app navigation, go to Sections.
Click Create Section.
👉 Result: The Create Section modal opens.
Choose Section Type
In the modal, select Section Type: Collection.
Optionally, add:
Section Title
Internal Key (notes for your reference)
Click Create Section Type: Collection.
👉 Result: The modal updates, allowing you to select collections.
Select Collections
Pick one or more collections from your Shopify store.
Click Add.
👉 Result: The chosen collections are displayed in the section preview.
Finalize Section
Click Create Section.
👉 Result: All active products in the chosen collections are assigned to the sectionA green success bar confirms creation.
You’re redirected to the Edit Section screen, where products from the chosen collections appear.
From here, you can further edit or manage product details.
If processing takes time, you may see a yellow status message — during this, editing and product management are temporarily disabled until the section is ready.
Key Notes
Sections created from collections stay synced with Shopify products. Updates to products in those collections are reflected in the section.
Sections are reusable across multiple custom catalogs, making it easy to maintain consistent product groupings.
