FAQs - Whole Store Catalog

Updated over 4 months ago

What does the Whole Store Catalog include?

It includes all active products assigned to published collections in your Shopify store. Draft and archived products are excluded.

2. Can I change the Whole Store Catalog after it’s generated?

Not directly. The Whole Store Catalog is always synced to your active products and collections. If you want to make edits (e.g., remove or rearrange products), you can use Convert & Edit to turn it into a Custom Catalog.

3. What happens if I edit a product in Shopify?

Any changes to product details (title, price, image, or variant) are automatically synced in the Whole Store Catalog.

4. What happens if I archive, delete, or set a product to draft?

That product is automatically removed from the Whole Store Catalog.

5. What happens if I edit a collection?

Changes to collection names, rules, or contents are synced to the Whole Store Catalog. If a collection is deleted or unassigned, it will be removed from the catalog.

6. Can I duplicate the Whole Store Catalog?

Yes. You can Duplicate to make an exact copy or use Convert & Edit to customize it.

7. Can I add draft products to the Whole Store Catalog?

No. Draft products are excluded. Only active products in published collections are included in whole store catalogs.

  • Tip: Section type: Product can be used to include draft and archived products in custom catalogs.

8. Why do I see a yellow status message after generating?

This means the catalog is still processing. While generating, catalog actions (open, copy, edit, duplicate) are disabled. Once complete, all actions become available.

  • Turn on notifications if you'd like to receive an email when it is ready.
